Bei ruhiger See starteten wir heute den Versuch mit einem
grossen Kajak und der ganzen Familie die Insel zu erkunden. Leider mussten wir
den Versuch bereits nach wenigen Paddelschlägen beenden, da die Schreiattacken
von Neyla fast einen Tsunami ausgelöst hätten. So blieben also Janis und Dad
Dad zurück, die zumindest einen Blick um die Inselzunge warfen. Zurück an Land
geb Janis Mama zu verstehen, dass so eine Kajaktour doch ziemlich anstrengend
sei und er sich erstmal ausruhen müsse. Ein wahrer Held. Dafür freundet er sich
jeden Tag mehr mit dem Meer an und wird auch mutiger. Dad Dad bekam dann noch
die erste Schnorcheleinweisung (Domi hatte in Südamerika schon erste
Erfahrungen gesammelt) – sehr ungewohnt bei den ersten Atemzügen, anschliessend
aber wirklich genial. Freuen uns auf das Schnorcheln mit den Clownfischen am Samstag
(zuviel verraten wollen wir aber noch nicht). Mittags müssen wir die Kids, aber
auch uns, weiterhin aus der Hitze nehmen. Ab 16.00 Uhr liegt der Tennisplatz im
Schatten und ist damit perfekt bespielbar. Janis schlug Dad Dad in einem
spannenden Spiel mit 10:9. Nach der obligatorischen Pooleinheit und leckeren
Köstlichkeiten im „The Seven Seas“ dauerte der Einschlafprozess nicht nur bei
den Kids nicht gerade besonders lange.
As we had a
calm sea this morning we decided to go for a kayak-tour around the island with
the whole family. Unfortunately we had to give up our plan only after a few
paddles as Neylas’ screaming was going to set off a tsunami. So Janis and Dad
Dad had to go alone and reached at least the top of the bay to have a look around the
corner. When they got back Janis made a clear statement that a tour like this
is exhausting and that he will need a rest now. A real hero. But at least he
becomes braver every day and even goes into the water alone now. Dad Dad got his
first snorkelling briefing (Domi had already done in in South of America). Very
odd for the first breaths of air but once you get used to a real genial
experience. We are now looking forward to the snorkelling with the clownfish on
Saturday (but we won’t tell you too much about it yet). Lunch time we all had
to get out of the sun again, but from 4pm the tennis court is usually in the
shade, therefore the perfect place to be. Janis defeat his Dad Dad in an
exciting match 10:9. After the mandatory pool session and the delicious dinner
in “The Seven Seas” we all fell asleep pretty quickly.
