Weltreise 2014: Pimalai Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta, 10th of March 2014

So ein Jetlag kann auch etwas Gutes haben, zumindest dann wenn man um 4.30 Uhr aufstehen muss, weil um 08.00 Uhr der Flug nach Krabi geht. Die Kinder waren also fit und der Flug mit einer Flugzeit von 80 min nicht der Rede wert. Wir wurden am Flughafen von den Reiseführern des Pimalai Resorts in Empfang genommen und in rasanter Fahrt 50 min zum Anlegeplatz des Speedboats kutschiert. Janis und Neyla holten sich bei dieser Gelegenheit eine halbe Stunde Schlaf zurück. Speedboat fahren war für uns alle eine Premiere und eine spannende dazu. Die Überfahrt dauerte 45 min und brachte Janis nach den ersten Flugstunden rund um White Island nun auch 30 min Erfahrung im Steuern eines Speedboates ein (toll wie er das managt – er ist in den letzten Wochen wirklich extrem mutig geworden und stellt sich nahezu jeder Herausforderung – bei Mc Donald’s holt er das Ketchup jedesmal ganz alleine und wünscht dabei auch keine Unterstützung von Mami und Papi J). Nach der Ankunft im Resort wurden wir standesgemäss mit einem Blumenkette empfangen und konnten unser zuhause für die nächsten 14 Tage auch schon sofort beziehen. Janis und Neyla waren total aus dem Häuschen, als sie den Privatpool erblickten und auch wir waren von der Grossräumigkeit und dem Ausblick der Villa 810/811 echt beeindruckt. Vor dem Auspacken stand natürlich der Sprung in das erfrischende Nass. Ein kleiner Infinity Pool nur für uns – Wahnsinn. Nach dem letzten Kleider versorgen unserer Reise ging es dann an die Erkundung der Anlage. Ein Anruf in der Lobby genügt und schon wird man von einem Elektroauto abgeholt und an jeden beliebigen Ort des Resorts gebracht. Hört sich dekadent an, ist bei 36 Grad Aussentemperatur und der Steilheit des Geländes aber wirklich empfehlenswert. Nach einem kleinen Snack und einem ersten kurzen Rundgang (hat uns alles extrem gut gefallen) musste zum Tagesabschluss nochmal der Pool herhalten. Von hier aus den Sonnenuntergang mit verfolgen zu können war ein gelungener Abschluss eines tollen Tages. Janis Turtle ist auch schon aufgeblasen – wir freuen uns also auf Tag 2. (Janis trug heute Nachmittag keine Windel J - ich hatte nur das Gefühl, dass die Pooltemperatur gegen Abend angestiegen war J)

A jetlag has also its good side, especially when you have to get up at 4.30am to catch the flight at 8am to Krabi. The kids were fit and the flight time of 80 min a piece of cake. The traveller guide of the Pimalai Resort & Spa pickets us up at the airport and took us to the wharf in 50 min where we had to change into a speedboat. Janis and Neyla took the opportunity to catch up with some sleep, at least half an hour. The speedboat was a premiere for all of us and very exciting. The trip took 45 min and Janis has now beside his flying experience around the White Island also experience in boat riding. It is really nice to see how brave he got and that he raises every possible challenge now. In the Mc Donald’s he always goes alone to the counter to get some more ketchup and he does not want any help of mummy or Dad Dad... J) Arriving at the resort, we were received with the typical flower garland and could straight away move into our new home for the next 14 days. Janis and Neyla got all excited when they saw the private pool and we were also pretty impressed by the spacious rooms and the fantastic view from our villa 810/811. Before we started our unpacking we just had to jump into the pool. A private little Infinity pool. Awesome. When we had put away all our cloths we went to explore the resort. You just need a call the lobby and an electric car picks you up straight away and drives you wherever you want. It sounds pretty decadent, but considering the temperature and the steepness of the compound it is really advisable. After a small snack and the sightseeing we jumped once more into our pool and watched the sunset from there. A great finishing of a fantastic day. Janis’ turtle is also blown up, so we are looking forward to day 2. (By the way: Janis had not nappies today... we just had the impression the temperature of the pool had risen by the evening... J)
