zugenommen haben – also sch…egal J).
üblichen Spielplatzeinheit stand dann eigentlich Kelly Tarlton’s Sea Life
Also Kinder
Today our target was to
see as much as possible of Auckland. We had planned to climb the highest
television tower of the southern hemisphere, the 328m Sky Tower. Unfortunately
you are only allowed the use the 1023 steps of the staircase with a special
permission and after absolving a training course.(?????? we also have
staircases in Europe) What a pity. But the elevator with the glass ground was
also pretty impressive and the 360 degrees perspective on the two platforms is
just brilliant. The first platform has even vitreous sections of 38 mm glass.
Funny, but to step on them felt like a test of courage. To be 38mm above the
abyss gives you an unpleasant feeling. As we could not burn our calories, we
decided to add some more (as Pari (mummy) had also confirmed on Skype that we
had all put on weight), so what the big deal... the coffee shop in 200 m height
was the perfect place for it. From here you can really see why Auckland is
rated as one of the most worth living places in the world. But you can also see
it in every corner of the streets (we booked a tour on the hop on / hop off
buses). Auckland is also called the city of sails, but it convinces not only on
the water. Neyla fell asleep in the bus straight away so we inevitably made the
tour twice (the driver was worried we would never get out anymore, especially
when Janis had also fell asleep J) We then decided to get off at Mission Bay Beach
before we would all fall asleep. It’s a beach in the middle of the town. After
a short snack and the mandatory playground break we planned to go to Kelly
Tarlton’s Sea Life Aquarium, at least it was the plan... unfortunately we
missed the last entrance admission for 10 minutes and on top of that also the
last hop on / hop off bus. So we had to walk all the way back with the kids on
our shoulders for 90 minutes. Not something we would recommend. As the photo
shop where we had ordered something was also closed by the time we got back, we
had only one thing to aim for: alcohol J so we spent a cosy last evening at the harbour and
have to do all the packing now... The next blog will be from Bangkok.
